Rio de Janeiro has been announced as the host city for the 20th edition of the SAHIC Hotel & Tourism Investment Forum – Latin America & The Caribbean, the leading international investment forum for the hospitality and tourism industry. For the first time in the event’s history, the same city and country will host two consecutive editions.
The selection marks a historic milestone for SAHIC, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026, consolidating its role as a platform for inspiration, business, and transformation in the hospitality and tourism industry. The commemorative edition is already scheduled to take place on March 22, 23, and 24, 2026.
“Today we are here in Rio de Janeiro to share very special news: this vibrant city will once again host SAHIC — and not just any edition, but the twentieth, celebrating inspiration, business, and transformation in our industry,” celebrated Arturo García Rosa, CEO of the SAHIC Group.

The decision to keep the event in the same city for the first time reflects the success of the 2025 edition, which is already considered the most significant in SAHIC’s history. The expectation is to bring together more than 300 executives and business leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean to foster business, investment, and new partnerships for the sector.
“It is a great honor for Rio de Janeiro to have been chosen for such a symbolic moment. For the first time in SAHIC’s history, a city will host two consecutive editions — a recognition of the success of the 2025 edition and of our city’s strength as an investment platform. It is a source of great pride for the City Hall of Rio, in partnership with Invest.Rio and Riotur, as Host Patron, to once again welcome this major international forum to our city,” highlighted Deputy Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere.
The choice of Rio de Janeiro is strategic. According to Arturo García Rosa, “Returning to Rio is no coincidence. It is a strategic decision: here we find a vibrant city, connected to the world, with a development agenda and a forward-looking vision that we want to continue to foster.”
“Hosting SAHIC for the second consecutive time is a historic milestone that reinforces Rio de Janeiro’s position as a key player on the global stage of hospitality and tourism investment. This unprecedented decision recognizes the favorable business environment we are building in the city, with planning, a long-term vision, and strong coordination between the public and private sectors. It is a source of pride for Invest.Rio and for the entire City Hall to host the 20th edition of this forum, which is so strategic for the development of the sector,” said Sidney Levy, President of Invest.Rio.
The favorable business environment has been further reinforced by the strong momentum in the hospitality sector in the region. In Brazil alone, investments of approximately US$ 1.6 billion are expected over the next three years, according to HotelInvest, with more than 130 new hotel contracts projected. “We are ready to once again welcome global leaders from the hospitality, tourism, and real estate development sectors,” stated Deputy Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere.

The 2026 edition will be more than a conference: it will be a celebration of SAHIC’s legacy in Latin America and the Caribbean. The program will include panels featuring more than 50 experts, networking sessions, one-on-one business meetings, and strategic debates with investors, investment funds, financial institutions, hotel chains, and public sector representatives from more than 15 countries.
